CRM settings control display preferences and license management. Settings are accessible from the Settings tab within the CRM or from WooCommerce → Settings → CRM in the WordPress Admin dashboard (WP Admin).
Display preferences
The following display options are available:
- Customers per page — Set how many customers appear per page in the customer list. Options: 10, 25, 50, or 100. Default: 25.
- Default sort order — Choose the default sort column: Name, Email, Registered, Last Active, or Spent.
- Show Gravatars — Toggle customer profile pictures on or off in the list and on individual profiles.
Display preferences are saved per user. Each WP Admin user can configure their own settings independently.
License management
An active license key enables automatic plugin updates and access to support.
Activating a license
- Navigate to WooCommerce → CRM → Settings.
- Enter the license key from the Refinery account dashboard.
- Click Activate.
Deactivating a license
To move a license to a different site:
- Navigate to WooCommerce → CRM → Settings.
- Click Deactivate next to the active license.
The license key can then be activated on another site.
License status
The Settings tab displays the current license status and expiration date. Without an active license, the plugin continues to function but does not receive automatic updates.
Troubleshooting
- Settings not saving — Verify the current user has administrator or shop manager permissions. CRM settings require the
manage_woocommercecapability. - License shows as expired — Check the expiration date on the Refinery account dashboard. Renew the subscription to restore update access. The plugin continues to function after expiration but does not receive new versions.
- Automatic updates not working — Confirm the license is active and the site can reach
refinerywp.com. Some security plugins or firewall rules block outgoing update checks. Addrefinerywp.comto the allowlist if needed.
