Customer List

The Customers tab is the main interface for browsing and managing the customer database. It displays all customers — registered, guest, and subscriber — in a sortable, searchable table.

Searching for customers

The search bar at the top of the list searches across customer email addresses, first names, and last names in real time. Results update as text is entered.

Filtering the customer list

Filters narrow the customer list based on specific criteria. Multiple filters can be applied at the same time.

  • Customer Type — Show only Customers, Guests, or Subscribers
  • Country — Filter by billing country
  • City — Filter by billing city
  • State — Filter by billing state or province
  • Postal Code — Filter by billing postal or ZIP code
  • Segment — Show only customers who belong to a specific segment

Filter options are populated dynamically from existing customer data. Only values that exist in the database appear as options.

Sorting

Click any column header to sort the list by that field. Click again to reverse the sort direction. Available sort fields include:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Date registered
  • Last active
  • Total spend
  • Order count

Customizing columns

The column settings icon opens a panel to show or hide individual columns. Columns can also be reordered by dragging them into the preferred position. These preferences are saved per user and persist across sessions.

Available columns: Name, Type, Email, Phone, Country, City, State, Postal Code, Orders, Spent, Average Order Value (AOV), Last Active, and Registered. The Name column is always visible.

Adjusting pagination

Control how many customers display per page by choosing 10, 25, 50, or 100. This setting can be changed from the list view or from Settings. The default is 25.

Displaying Gravatars

Enable Gravatar profile pictures in Settings to display customer avatars next to names in the list and on individual profiles. Gravatars are pulled from each customer’s email address.

Troubleshooting

  • Customer list is empty — The initial sync may still be in progress. Navigate to WooCommerce → CRM to check the sync status. If the sync has completed but the list is still empty, verify that the store has existing WooCommerce orders.
  • Filter options are missing — Filter values are populated from existing customer data. If a country or city does not appear, no customers in the database have that value in their billing address.
  • Search returns no results — Search matches against email, first name, and last name only. It does not search order data or addresses. Verify the search term matches one of these fields.
