The Log tab displays a searchable, filterable history of every fraud check performed by Fraud Guard. Use it to review flagged orders, investigate patterns, and audit fraud detection activity.
Searching the log
The search bar accepts order numbers and IP addresses. Enter a value and click Filter to find matching entries.
Filtering
Narrow results using any combination of these filters:
- Action — Show only entries with a specific action: Hold, Cancel, Flag, or Pass
- Rule — Show only entries triggered by a specific rule: Geo Mismatch, Min Amount, Velocity, Suspicious Email, or VPN/Proxy
- Payment Method — Filter by payment gateway (dynamically populated from log data)
- Date Range — Set a start and end date to view a specific time period
Multiple filters can be applied at the same time. Click Filter to apply.
Log table columns
Each log entry shows:
- Date — When the order was checked
- Order — Order number (click to open the order in WooCommerce)
- IP Address — The customer IP address
- IP Country — Country detected from the IP address
- Billing Country — Country from the billing address
- Payment Method — The payment gateway used
- Rules Triggered — Which fraud rules triggered (abbreviated)
- Order Total — The order amount
- Action Taken — The action applied (color-coded badge)
Pagination
Adjust rows per page using the per-page setting. The default is 25. This preference is saved per user and persists across sessions.
Clearing logs
Click Clear Logs to remove old entries. Choose a period to clear:
- All time — Removes all log entries
- Older than 30 days
- Older than 7 days
- Older than 1 day
Clearing logs is permanent and cannot be undone.
