Fraud Guard sends two types of email notifications to keep store administrators informed about fraud activity.
Flagged order email
Sent immediately when an order triggers any fraud rule. The email includes:
- The order number and date
- Which rules triggered, with details for each (e.g., “IP country: NG, Billing country: US”)
- The action taken (Flagged, Held, or Cancelled)
This email lets administrators review flagged orders promptly and take manual action if needed.
Summary email
A periodic digest of fraud activity, sent daily or weekly. The summary includes:
- Total orders checked in the period
- Total orders flagged
- Revenue protected (total value of flagged orders)
- Breakdown by rule (how many times each rule triggered)
- Top 5 IP addresses by flagged order count
The summary email can be configured to skip sending when no fraud was detected during the period.
Configuring email notifications
Both emails are managed through the standard WooCommerce email settings:
- Navigate to WooCommerce → Settings → Emails.
- Find Fraud Guard: Order Flagged or Fraud Guard: Summary.
- Click Manage to configure the recipient, subject line, and other options.
For the summary email, additional options include:
- Frequency — Daily or Weekly
- Skip Empty — Do not send the email if no fraud was detected in the period
